As urologists, our physicians are highly trained to treat disorders of the male and female urinary tract (bladder, ureter, kidney, and urethra) and the male reproductive system. Urology is classified as a surgical subspecialty, but since a wide variety of clinical problems are encountered when treating urological conditions, knowledge of internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, and other specialties is required.

Nabil Hilwa, M.D., F.I.C.S.
Dr. Hilwa received his medical degree from Damascus University in 1969. He served an internship at Roger William General Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. His internal medicine residency was completed there as well. Dr. Hilwa's general surgery residency was served at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., and his urology residency was completed at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Following his internship and residencies, Dr. Hilwa was awarded a fellowship in pediatric urology which he completed at Wayne State University Children's Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

Jacqueline Williams, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Williams graduated with her medical degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She went on to an internship in general surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York. Her residency in urology was served at Howard University Hospital in Washington, and she was awarded a fellowship in neurourology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr. Williams is a member of the following professional societies:

Troy K. Edwards, M.D., PhD.
Dr. Edwards completed a Bachelors Degree with Highest Honors from Rutgers University, Piscataway, NJ. Dr Edwards also completed a MD/PhD program joint with Rutgers University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Robert Wood Johnson Medical School). His PhD graduate work was completed in Molecular Pharmacology at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey. Dr Edwards subsequently completed a urology residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Dr. Edwards has been trained in minimally-invasive surgery techniques including the DaVinci Robotic systems, laparoscopic and urerteroscopic surgeries.
